Trump: I appreciate Dr. Fauci’s opinion, but I don’t always agree with it

The President is increasingly criticizing the leadership of health authorities due to disagreements over the further opening of the economy.

President Donald Trump said on Monday that despite having a perfect relationship with the chief infectious disease specialist in the United States, Dr. Anthony Fauci, he does not always agree with Fauci’s opinion. The President said this during a round table held at the White House on the decisive role of law enforcement agencies.

Trump is increasingly critical of the views of public health officials, as a steady increase in coronavirus infections threatens to open up the American economy further.

Last week, Trump, in an interview with Fox News, said Fauci made many mistakes regarding the coronavirus.
