Trump has threatened to enter the US state of emergency to get funding for the wall with Mexico

The US President Donald Trump during a press conference with journalists in the Rose garden of the White House said he could impose a state of emergency in the country to finance the construction of the wall on the border with Mexico, reports Reuters.

Answering the question whether he had considered the introduction of a special state of emergency for these purposes, Trump replied: “Yes. We can do this. <...> I can do that.”

The state of emergency will be able to put an end to the conflict between trump and the Democrats in the US Congress over the construction of the wall, as it will allow to achieve the financing of the project bypassing Congress.

Earlier on Friday, January 4, the US House of Representatives, where Democrats constitute the majority, approved the budget bills until September 30, 2019. According to one of them, $ 1.3 billion and an additional $ 300 million will be allocated for the installation of video cameras and other protective equipment at the borders. The Republicans demanded to adopt a document with $ 5.6 billion pledged for the construction of the wall between the US and Mexico.
