The President said he was interested in corruption offenses committed by the former Vice President and his son.
President Donald Trump has denied the political background of his claims against former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter. The main issue of interest to trump-possible corruption crimes committed by Biden in Ukraine and other countries. The President said this on Friday morning, talking to reporters on the lawn in front of the White House.
“We want to find out what happened in 2016. I’m not interested in Biden’s [election] campaign, but I’m concerned about corruption. His campaign is his business, their politics. I don’t care about politics. Corruption – we investigate corruption. When you look at what Biden and his son have done, and when you look at what other people have done, I believe there is blatant corruption associated with Biden,” Trump said.
The President added that during the 2016 campaign, in addition to corruption, other offenses were committed.
“What these scoundrels have done to so many people has harmed so many people, trump’s election campaign, which has been successful despite all the fight against us. We are investigating corruption, not engaging in politics,” Trump added.
Asked by a journalist about how the future successful signing of a trade agreement with China and the investigation by Chinese authorities into Biden could be linked, Trump said the trade agreement “has nothing to do” with a possible investigation.
“I want to make a trade deal with China, but only if it will be beneficial to our country. And it can happen,” the President said, adding that a trade delegation from Beijing will arrive in Washington next week.
Speaking to reporters on the White House lawn, Trump also said he had decided to abolish the visa regime when visiting the US for Polish citizens. This, according to the President, will further strengthen US-Polish relations.
