Trump has declared its readiness to veto the resolution on cancellation of state of emergency on the border of the United States

The head of the White House also added that the southern border of the United States is “a nightmare for national security”.

The President of the United States Donald Trump announced on Thursday his readiness to use the veto if the resolution, which is designed to end the state of emergency on the southern border of the country, will receive support in the US Senate.

“If necessary, I’m ready to veto,” he wrote on his personal Twitter page. – The southern border is a nightmare for national security and humanitarian situation, but it is easy to fix!”

The vote on the resolution will take place in the Senate on Thursday. It was previously approved by the House of Representatives of the US Congress.
On February 15, Trump signed a Declaration on the introduction of the state of emergency on the southern border of the country, which allows to get about $8 billion for the construction of a significant part of the physical barrier on the southern border and repair of existing sections of the barrier. The administration believes that this will help the authorities to prevent illegal immigration and drug smuggling.
