Trump estimated the meeting between Putin and Biden as “a good day for Russia”

Former US President Donald Trump commented on the results of the summit of the head of the United States Joe Biden and Russian leader Vladimir Putin, which was held on June 16 in Geneva, according to him, Washington did not receive any advantages from this meeting.

“We didn’t get anything, we gave the stage to Russia, and we didn’t get anything. … I think it was a good day for Russia,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News.

The former head of the White House also expressed regret that the current US administration did not prevent the implementation of the Russian project for the construction of the “Nord stream-2” gas pipeline.

In addition, he noted that he would like to lift sanctions against Russia because he believes that cooperation between the countries can be mutually beneficial.

“They need the economy, and we need the things they have. They have very valuable land in terms of mineral resources,” Trump explained his position. The former American leader expressed confidence that he “got along well with Putin”, but “no one was tougher with Russia” than he was.
