US President Donald Trump on Monday accused Democrats of opening States too slowly, dictated by political gain.
Trump, who is running for a new term in November, would like to resume economic activity in the United States as soon as possible, contrary to the recommendations of health experts who call for caution to avoid a new wave of the virus.
Recall that the disease has already claimed more than 80,000 lives in the United States.
The President calls on the States to ease restrictions aimed at curbing the spread of the virus. On Monday, he dedicated a tweet to the situation in Pennsylvania, which is considered one of the swing States.
“The people of Pennsylvania want freedom now, and they are aware of what this entails. Democrats across the country are acting too slowly, for political reasons. If they had their way, they would have waited until November 3. Don’t play politics. Be safe and act fast!” the President wrote.
