Trump demanded that General Motors start manufacturing ventilators

US President Donald Trump has accused General Motors of failing to fulfill promises to produce ventilators.

“As usual with “this” General Motors, it seems that nothing ever works out with them. They said they would provide us with the 40,000 ventilators we needed “very quickly.” Now they say it will only be 6 thousand, at the end of April. And they want the highest price,” he wrote on Twitter on Friday.

He called on the company to “immediately open their foolishly abandoned” plant in Ohio or another manufacturing facility and start producing ventilators.

Against the background of the spread of coronavirus, several large companies in the United States have announced the beginning of the Assembly of ventilators. These include Dyson, SpaceX, 3M, General Electric, and others.
