US President Donald Trump again called on Russia and China to cooperate in the field of arms control.

“Arms control in the future must include measures that enhance the security of America and our allies, valid, and enforceable… I once again call on Russia and China to join us in this effort, working together to make the world safer and prevent a new arms race, “said a statement published on the White House website on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the world’s first test of Trinity nuclear weapons technology.

Trump stressed that the presence of nuclear weapons continues to ensure American security and acts as a pillar of national defense.
