As part of the search, electronic media belonging to Rudolph Giuliani were seized from the apartment.
Former US President Donald Trump called the search of the apartment of his former lawyer Rudolph Giuliani a manifestation of double standards. Such an assessment of the former president was announced on Thursday on the air of the Fox Business TV channel.
“Rudy Giuliani is a patriot. He does so many things, he loves this country so much, and they search his apartment,” Trump complained. “These are double standards that I don’t think anyone has ever encountered,” he said.
“I don’t know what they were looking for, what they were doing. They say that this is due to various documents related to lobbying activities,” Trump continued. “This is an extremely unfair situation,” the former president said.
On Wednesday, employees of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States raided Giuliani’s apartment in New York, which, according to The New York Times, was connected with the investigation of lobbying activities that the lawyer could conduct in Ukraine. As part of the search, electronic media belonging to Giuliani were seized from the apartment.
