Trump called the reason for the withdrawal of troops from Germany

The US is reducing its military presence in Germany, because the German government is not spending enough to maintain the collective defense of NATO, said US President Donald Trump.

“We are reducing the forces because they do not pay their bills, everything is simple,” the head of the White House was quoted as saying.

Recall that on Wednesday, the US began withdrawing troops from Germany. It is planned to withdraw 11.9 thousand military personnel from the country, some of them will return to their homeland, and some will go to Belgium and Italy. The Pentagon did not rule out that the US may send forces to Poland and the Baltic States in the future.
