Trump called on Biden to apologize to the Americans for the failure in Afghanistan

The former U.S. president called the situation at the Dover Air Base a disgrace, where the ceremony of handing over the bodies of the U.S. military killed in the terrorist attack in Kabul to relatives was held.

U.S. President Joe Biden, in his upcoming speech on the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan on Tuesday, should apologize to his fellow citizens for how it happened. This was stated to Fox Business by former U.S. President Donald Trump.

“He should say,’ I’m sorry.’ He should apologize to the Americans,” Trump said.

The former U.S. president called the situation at the Dover Air Base a disgrace. A ceremony was held on Sunday to transfer the bodies of the US military killed in the terrorist attack in Kabul to relatives. “He stood and looked at his watch as if he wanted to leave there and go home. He should apologize for this,” Trump added.

U.S. President Joe Biden is expected to speak on Afghanistan on Tuesday. The American leader is seriously criticized both for the decision to withdraw troops, as a result of which control over the country passed to the Taliban, and how this withdrawal took place. Biden has repeatedly indicated earlier that there will be a lot of time to find those responsible for the events in Afghanistan, but first, we need to complete the evacuation. The U.S. operation to remove Americans and allies from Kabul ended on Monday.
