Trump believes that thousands of Americans were held hostage in Afghanistan

Former U.S. President Donald Trump claims that thousands of Americans were held hostage in Afghanistan.

“How dare Biden to force our military to flee from the battlefield in Afghanistan and desert in a situation where many thousands of Americans are being held hostage,” Trump said in a statement.

“We had Afghanistan and Kabul under reliable control with only 2,500 soldiers, and we destroyed it when they were asked to flee!” Trump added.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken will report on Wednesday how many Americans have been evacuated from Afghanistan and how many more remain there, U.S. President Joe Biden said earlier on Tuesday.
