Trump asked China to remove immediately duties on the US agricultural products

The US President Donald Trump said that he asked the Chinese authorities to remove immediately duties on American agricultural products, as trade negotiations between the countries are successful.

“I asked China to immediately remove tariffs from our agricultural products, including beef, pork and so on, as trade negotiations are going well, and I did not raise tariffs to 25% on March 1. This is very important for our wonderful farmers and for me!”- wrote the American leader on Twitter.

In early December 2018, Trump and Chinese leader XI Jinping at a meeting in Argentina agreed to take within three months measures aimed at concluding a trade agreement between the two countries. The us President said that he agreed from January 1 not to raise tariffs from 10% to 25% for Chinese products totaling $ 200 billion, as he had planned earlier. The term of the trade deal expired on March 1, but trump expressed his readiness not to raise duties as long as the negotiations are successful and in the right direction for Washington.
