Trump arrived in Japan

US President Donald Trump flew to Japan, where he will meet with the new Emperor of the country Naruhito and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. It is reported by NHK.

It is noted that Trump arrived at Tokyo airport around 17:00 local time. He came to Japan with his wife Melania. At the airport, they were met by the head of the Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono and US Ambassador to Japan William Hagerty.

The channel notes that with Abe, he plans to discuss relations with China, North Korea, and Iran, as well as trade between Japan and the United States. In addition, on May 26, they will play Golf and attend a sumo tournament. NHK adds that Trump arranged a dinner with representatives of Japanese business

The American President was the first foreign leader to come to Japan after the 89-year-old Emperor Akihito abdicated and his son Naruhito ascended the throne. During the visit, Trump also plans to take part in the summit of the G20 countries (G20).
