Trump approved the state of emergency in Texas and Florida

US President Donald Trump has approved a state of emergency in connection with the coronavirus in the states of Texas and Florida, the White House said.

The emergency mode allows the Federal government to send aid to the States from funds already allocated by the US Congress.

In Florida, there were about 1.5 thousand cases of coronavirus, in Texas – about 900.

Earlier, Trump approved the emergency regime in the most affected states of New York, California, and Washington, as well as in Iowa and Louisiana. Hundreds of thousands of surgical and respiratory masks and other protective devices have been allocated from Federal reserves to the three most affected states. Trump also said that the Federal government will fully bear the cost of participating in the fight against the virus in these states of the National Guard-the equivalent of the internal troops, which are subordinate to both the Federal government and the states. Finally, the Pentagon sent field hospitals with thousands of beds to the three most affected states and promised to send US Navy hospital ships to California and New York.

In total, there are more than 60 thousand confirmed cases of coronavirus in the United States, and more than 800 people have died.
