Trump appreciated the conversation with Putin

US President Donald Trump said that his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin was productive.

Trump declined to answer a question about whether the topic of an unsubstantiated “collusion” with Afghan militants attributed to Moscow was discussed.

“We don’t talk about what we discuss,” Free News quoted Trump as saying.

At the same time, he said that “there were a lot of discussions.” According to Trump, the conversation with Putin “was very productive.”

On Thursday, Putin and Trump had a telephone conversation. The Kremlin reported that the main topic of discussion was the issue of stability and arms control.

Recall that Trump believes that the story about the “collusion” between Russia and the militants, spread by the American media, was invented to harm him personally and the Republican party. The Russian Foreign Ministry called the NYT article “a throw-in of American intelligence.”
