The US President Donald Trump said that the head of staff of the White house John Kelly will leave his post at the end of the year. The American leader told reporters about this at the White house. His speech was broadcast on the CBS television network.
“John Kelly leaves at the end of the year. We’ll announce who will take John’s place. It could be on a temporary basis. I will announce it in the next day or two,” Trump said. “I really appreciate his service,” he added.
The fact that the chief of staff of the White house Kelly in the coming days will resign, said on Friday, citing sources CNN. He noted that although Trump asked Kelly to remain in office for another two years in the summer, they have recently stopped communicating. According to the channel, one of the candidates for the post of chief of staff of the White house is the current chief of staff of the US Vice President Nick Ayers.
In November, the US media reported that trump is going to dismiss Kelly, as well as the US Secretary of homeland security Kirsten Nielsen, who is his protégé, due to the lack of a clear position on the migration issue. Earlier, speaking at a press conference, the American leader confirmed that he was considering a number of options for personnel changes in the administration following the midterm elections to the US Congress on November 6.
