On the night of October 2, 2020, the former president announced on Twitter that he and his wife had been diagnosed with coronavirus. Later that day, he arrived at the Walter Reed Medical Center. On October 5, the 45th President of the United States left the medical facility and returned to the White House. Trump’s attending physician later reported that the president’s test results for the new coronavirus had been negative for several days.

The infection was also detected in members of the Trump family and some people who were employees of the US administration.
