Trump and Biden discussed the coronavirus epidemic over the phone

The President called the conversation with a likely election opponent “very friendly”.

President Donald Trump said he had a “really wonderful, warm conversation” with former Vice President Joe Biden about the coronavirus epidemic.

“He gave me his point of view, it is completely clear to me, and we had a very friendly conversation,” Trump said at a daily press briefing.

According to the President, he and Biden agreed not to disclose details of the conversation. At the same time, Trump confirmed an earlier statement by Biden’s campaign staff that the likely Democratic presidential candidate had submitted “proposals” to combat the pandemic.

Biden has previously said that he would like to share with Trump some of the lessons he learned from responding to similar crises during the Obama administration.
