The intelligence leadership continues to reshuffle personnel.

The administration of President Donald Trump announced the change of the acting Director of the National counterterrorism center as part of a large-scale personnel reshuffle in the intelligence leadership.

Russell Travers, who has worked for decades in the field of counter-terrorism and national security, was appointed interim head of the Department in August.

However, on Thursday evening, the office of the Director of National intelligence said that acting Director of National intelligence Richard Grenell offered Travers a different post. Nevertheless, Travers chose to retire.

According to the Washington Post, Travers told colleagues that he was fired.
