The first trailer for the WandaVision series, presented during the broadcast of the Emmy awards, received 53 million views and more than 300 thousand mentions on social networks in the first 24 hours. Social media tracking company RelishMix cites an even higher figure of 55.7 million views.
The main part of the views fell on YouTube, where the video was watched by more than 36 million viewers, bringing it to second place in the popular video service. Instagram brought 10 million views, Facebook another 5. A RelishMix spokesman told Deadline:
This result is in the same league as the Avengers and Fast and Furious franchises, which released their trailers during Super Bowl broadcasts.
It is claimed to be the best result of any streaming service project in history. The trailer managed to break the records of the Avengers: Infinity War trailers shown during the Super Bowl broadcasts (30.9 million) and the second season of Stranger Things (28.2 million). Also surpassed the results of this year’s project trailers: Black Widow (18.7 million), Mulan (12.4 million), and No Time to Die (10.1 million).
