Tiger Woods was hospitalized after an accident in Los Angeles

Fifteen-time Major Series winner American golfer Tiger Woods was involved in a car accident Tuesday morning in Los Angeles, cnbc.com reports.

Woods’ car crashed and rolled over. The athlete, who was the only one in the car, was removed from the passenger compartment using hydraulic scissors and was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

There are no details about Woods’ condition. As noted, his car was seriously damaged. Woods was operated on in January, and part of the intervertebral disc that was pinching the nerve was removed.

In May 2017, Woods was found by police asleep at the wheel of a car near his home in Jupiter, Florida, and arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Later, from a police report, it became known that traces of four drugs were found in the athlete’s body, including a strong pain reliever, an allergy medication and a sedative that cause drowsiness.
