Three Republican senators will not attend the party Convention in Florida

Two of them had severe disagreements with President Trump.

Republican senators Mitt Romney, Susan Collins, and Lisa Murkowski will not attend the Republican Party Convention, which will be held in August in Florida, the Hill reports.

Referring to an aide to Collins, the newspaper writes that the Senator did not plan to come to the Convention, because she does not participate in such events when she is campaigning.
This year, Collins is fighting a fierce battle, the outcome of which is crucial to which party will win a majority in the Senate in the next Congress.

Representatives for Romney and Murkowski did not respond to questions about whether the lawmakers ‘ decision was related to the coronavirus, the Hill reported.

Both senators had severe arguments with trump. Romney was the only Republican Senator to vote to impeach the President earlier this year, and Murkowski opposed repealing the Obamacare health care law and appointing Brett Kavanaugh as a Supreme court justice.
