Three assistant to John Bolton, a former national security adviser to the US President, submitted their resignation.
Garrett Markis, Bolton’s Press Secretary, Sarah Tinsley, his communications director, and Christine Samuelian, who worked on John Bolton’s work schedule, are retiring. All three resigned “by mutual consent,” a source in the administration said.
“It has been an honor to serve my country, and I wish the President and the administration success in their future work,” Markis said in a statement.
All three of the retired assistants had worked with Bolton for years. According to a senior administration official, Markis is trying to get another position in the White house. “Garrett played a key role in coordinating the public actions of the White House, the Department of defense and the state Department,” the source said.
