For several years now, rumors have been circulating about the re-release of the flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 6. More than four years have passed since its announcement, and users are in no hurry to change the model to a new one due to the lack of affordable and decent compact flagships on the market.
The CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, directly hints that the re-release of the 2017 smartphone should not be expected. Instead, he recommends that owners of the old Xiaomi Mi 6 take a closer look at the relatively recently announced affordable flagship Redmi K40 with Snapdragon 870. In China, it starts at $310.
It is difficult to imagine why users should choose this particular model if compactness is at the forefront for them. Redmi K40, which we know as POCO F3, although it has thin frames, it remains more dimensional than Xiaomi Mi 6.
The 2017 flagship measures 145.2 x 70.5 x 7.5mm with a 5.15 ”screen and weighs 168g. The ceramic version weighs 14g more. The Redmi K40 has a 6.67 ”display. Dimensions – 163.7 x 76.4 x 7.8 mm. Weight – 196 g.
