The winners of the “Emmy” announced

The 72nd Emmy awards ceremony was held in Los Angeles and was broadcast live on ABC.

The Outstanding Drama Series went to Succession, Outstanding Comedy Series went to Schitt’s Creek, and Outstanding Limited Series or Movie went to Watchmen.

Actors Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy from Schitt’s Creek won the award for Outstanding Lead Actor and Actress in a Comedy Series. The Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress and Actor in a Comedy Series was won by Daniel Levy and Annie Murphy, both from Schitt’s Creek.

Actor Jeremy Strong and actress Zendaya won Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress and Actor in a Drama Series. Billy Crudup (The Morning Show) and Julia Garner (Ozark) won awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress and Actor in a Drama Series.

Emmy is awarded by the Academy of television arts and sciences, founded in 1946, and is considered one of the most prestigious awards for television work. The fate of the prize is determined by about 23 thousand members of the TV Academy. The Golden Emmy statuette, made in the form of a winged woman with a symbolic atom in her hands, represents the unity of science and art.
