The White House demanded at “any cost” to send American astronauts to the moon until 2024

The administration of the US President Donald Trump demanded that NASA organized the flight of American astronauts to the moon by 2024.

According to Vice-President Mike Pence, Trump instructed NASA and its Director Jim Bridenstine to perform this task at “any cost”. Pence reported that NASA’s previously stated goal to send Americans to the moon in 2028 was “not good enough”.

The head of NASA Jim Bridenstein in response to the words of Pence tweeted: “The call is accepted. Now let’s get to work”.

In addition to the US, Russia and China are interested in the moon. Russia plans to send people to earth’s satellite regularly after 2030. China launched a probe to the moon “Chang’e-4”, and is going to build its base there.
