The Venezuelan foreign Ministry expressed readiness for dialogue with the United States

The Venezuelan leadership is ready for a dialogue with the administration of President Donald Trump, Venezuelan foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza said during an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council. According to him, the Venezuelan side has repeatedly tried to establish contact with the United States since the election of Comandante Hugo Chavez in February 1999, as well as during the presidential powers of Nicolas Maduro.

“However, all our efforts were blocked from the American side,” the diplomat stressed.

At the same time, the Venezuelan foreign Minister demanded to discuss the involvement of the US government in the organization of the coup in Venezuela and punish the perpetrators. The politician believes that the United States is behind the attempt to change power in the country and “there is enough evidence for this.”

In addition, the Venezuelan foreign Minister rejected the ultimatum of the Europeans regarding the timing of the presidential elections in the country. “Europe went on about the US”, concluded Jorge Arreaza. .
