The USS Laboon is heading for the Black Sea

The destroyer will take part in maritime security operations in the region, the US Navy said.

The USS Laboon is heading to the Black Sea to conduct maritime security operations in the region. This was announced on Friday by the Sixth Fleet of the US Navy on its Twitter page.

“The destroyer Laboon has begun moving north into the Black Sea to conduct maritime security operations in the region. The US Navy regularly carries out operations in the Black Sea with NATO allies and partners,” the text of the message says.
