The terms for resuming visa services will be determined individually for each Embassy or Consulate.
American embassies and consulates around the world will soon resume issuing visas, the State Department said, without specifying a specific time frame.
“Each mission will resume normal visa services on an individual basis in coordination with the Department’s Strong diplomacy framework for the safe return of our personnel to Department facilities,” a State Department official told ABC.
The representative added that the Agency “could not specify a specific date when each mission will resume specific visa services,” and suggested to clarify the information on the website of a specific Embassy or Consulate.
The entire American mission to suspend the provision of visa services from March 20. An exception was made only for emergencies.
