The US will not leave any arms deliveries to Iran unanswered

US Secretary of state Mike Pompeo said that the United States is ready to apply sanctions to any person or organization that contributes to Iran’s supply of weapons.

Earlier, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that the arms embargo against Tehran is no longer in effect. Consequently, the Republic can sell and buy weapons without restrictions.

The United States noted that the export of certain conventional weapons to Iran violates the UN Security Council resolution 1929. The purchase of any weapons or related materiel from Iran is a violation of resolution 1747.

“The United States is ready to use its authority to impose sanctions on any person or organization that will materially facilitate the supply, sale or transfer of conventional weapons to and from Iran, as well as against those who provide technical training, financial support, services and other assistance related to weapons,” the statement said.
