The US wants a peaceful transfer of power in Venezuela

The US is seeking a peaceful transition of power to the opposition in Venezuela, where on Tuesday, a military group supported opposition leader Juan Guaido. Counselor to US President Donald Trump Kellyanne Conway stated in an interview with Fox News.

“I’m not going to comment on this issue,” said Conway to the question whether the Venezuelan military support the call of Guaido to remove from power President Nicolas Maduro. “I will simply say that we believe that a peaceful transition of power is possible. You have seen the Maduros around the world who just cling to their power, no matter how they treated their own people. And it’s just time for him to go,” she said.

“It’s time for him [Maduro] to leave,” Trump’s Advisor argued. – Vice President clearly gave to understand it over the past year, as well as President Trump. We definitely welcomed the wife of Guaido here [in Washington] and other, whom we call freedom fighters”.
