The US proposed to exclude Turkey from NATO

Tulsi Gabbard, a member of the US House of Representatives from the Democratic Party, called for Turkey to be excluded from NATO.

In her opinion, Ankara participates in the conflict in Karabakh on the side of Azerbaijan, and also uses fighters from Syria to fight in the region. Such actions by the Turkish authorities contradict the policy of NATO, which has been calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh since the conflict escalated, Gabbard said.

Earlier, Armenian President Armen Sarkissian called on the European Union and NATO to put pressure on Turkey, whose actions, in his opinion, could damage the North Atlantic Alliance.
