This is the third meeting of Donald Trump with the British Queen.
President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump attended Tuesday night’s reception hosted by Queen Elizabeth in honor of the NATO summit of leaders, which is being held today as part of the Alliance’s 70th-anniversary celebrations.
This is the third meeting of the 45th US President with the head of the British monarchy. Trump and Elizabeth previously met at a Banquet during the President’s state visit to the UK last June and at a tea ceremony at Windsor Castle in July 2018.
Shortly before reception at the Palace, the President and first lady met separately with Prince Charles of Wales and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, at their official residence at Clarence house.
On Tuesday, the US President has already held bilateral meetings with the leaders of France and Canada, as well as with the NATO Secretary-General. On Wednesday, the President is scheduled to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
In between working meetings, Donald Trump also met with his British supporters during a private fundraising event for his presidential campaign. Earlier, it was expected that during the fundraising event in London, $ 3 million will be raised, which will go to the campaign headquarters of Donald Trump.
