The US imposed new sanctions against Venezuela

The US on Friday tightened sanctions against Venezuela. In particular, the black list included five citizens of the South American Republic, close to President Nicolas Maduro. This is stated in the statement of the US Treasury.

“The US Treasury continues to impose sanctions against officials who help the illegal President Maduro violate the rights and freedoms of the people of Venezuela,” the report said.

All assets in the United States owned by sanctioned individuals will be frozen.

In the sanctions list, in particular, were the head of the Venezuelan national intelligence Manuel Figuero, as well as the Minister of oil industry, head of oil and gas company PdVSA Manuel Quevedo
