The US House of Representatives failed to overcome the presidential veto

The House of Representatives of the US Congress failed on Tuesday to overcome the veto that President Donald Trump imposed on the previously approved by congressmen resolution on the abolition of the state of emergency on the border with Mexico.

For overcoming of the veto was made by 248 people, against-181. Thus, the two-thirds majority required to overturn the presidential decision was not achieved.

The Declaration on the introduction of the state of emergency, which D. Trump signed in February, will allow the President to redirect billions of dollars from military projects to the construction of the wall on the US -Mexican border.

Congress in March adopted a resolution on the termination of the state of emergency, which Donald Trump almost immediately vetoed.
