American historians have called Donald Trump one of the worst presidents of the country in history; especially low rating was given to his moral qualities and administrative skills, according to a study conducted by the C-SPAN channel.
142 specialists in the field of US history worked on the rating, which is compiled by the publication for the fourth time since 2000. According to the results of the last one, Trump took 41st place among all 44 participants in the rating (President Grover Cleveland became president twice and was the 22nd and 24th president of the United States).
The top three best presidents were Abraham Lincoln, George Washington and Franklin Roosevelt. John F. Kennedy became the eighth, followed by Republican President Ronald Reagan; the 44th President Barack Obama closes the top ten. Democrat Bill Clinton took the 19th position, Bush Sr.-the 21st, President George W. Bush – the 29th, and Republican Richard Nixon-the 31st.
The final place in the rating was determined by the sum of points for ten positions, including the assessment of moral qualities, leadership and administrative abilities and the art of foreign policy. According to experts, Trump scored 312 points (for comparison, Obama – 664 points). According to some parameters, Trump, who was the 45th president of the United States, took 32nd place in the gift of persuasion and 34th in economic issues, but at the same time remained in the last position in such qualities as “morality” and “administrative skills.”
