The US has placed humanitarian aid for Venezuela on the island Curacao

According to the US state Department, it is four sets weighing about 550 kg each, “allowing to provide for three months the needs of 40 thousand people”.

The United States has placed a shipment of humanitarian aid for Venezuela on the island Curacao, at the part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This was reported on Wednesday by the press service of the US state Department.

“Today, the United States pre-placed on the island Curacao humanitarian aid for the people of Venezuela, which continues to suffer from corruption and serious miscalculations in the management of the economy by the regime of the former President Maduro”, – stated in the document. “Four sets of care weight of 1.2 pounds (about 550 kg) each, allowing to provide for three months the needs of 40 thousand people, will help to cope with the lack of basic medicines in Venezuelan hospitals and medical centers”, – said the American foreign Ministry.

Earlier, the official representative of the Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said that the US actually received from the Netherlands carte Blanche to use the island Curacao as a springboard for aggressive intervention in the Affairs of Venezuela. According to her, despite the fact that the agreement between the Netherlands and the United States refers to the use of the island’s infrastructure for humanitarian supplies to Venezuela, the deal does not exclude the possibility of using not only civil, but also other means of delivery. Zakharova noted that it is obviously about military methods, and called on the authorities of Curacao not to allow “the use of the island as a reference point for another Western adventure that can seriously destabilize the situation in the region”.
