The US has managed to dramatically reduce the death rate from COVID-19

The US has managed to reduce the death rate from coronavirus dramatically, US President Donald Trump said.

“The death rate for people over 18 is now 85% lower than in April and 25% lower than in Europe as a whole. In April, 22% of all deaths in the US were linked to COVID-19, last week this number… we have dropped below 7%,” Trump said, speaking in North Carolina.

The United States leads the world in the number of cases of coronavirus (more than 4.2 million) and deaths of patients with the virus (more than 147 thousand).
