Nine legal entities and three individuals whose activities contribute to the financing of the Iranian regime have been sanctioned.
The US State Department has imposed sanctions on nine legal entities and three individuals involved in activities that may create conditions for violent behavior by the Iranian regime, according to a statement from the state Department.
The actions of these individuals provide the regime with income that it can use to finance terror and other destabilizing activities, such as the recent missile attacks on Iraqi and coalition forces at the Taji military base in Iraq.
According to the State Department, the sanctions will deprive the regime of income from the petrochemical industry and strengthen Iran’s economic and diplomatic isolation. The United States will continue to ensure full compliance with the sanctions.
