The US has filed a class-action lawsuit against China

More than five thousand Americans have joined a class-action lawsuit seeking $ 1.2 trillion in compensation from the Chinese government for damage caused by the COVID-19 coronavirus.

So, the plaintiffs claim that they suffered huge losses because of Beijing, which allowed the spread of the coronavirus around the world. Similar lawsuits were filed in courts in Nevada and Texas.

“Our lawsuit concerns those who were physically injured as a result of exposure to the virus… it also concerns China’s commercial activities related to trading in markets where wild animal meat is sold,” representatives of the law firm Berman Law Group claim.

At the same time, analysts say that “the potential us lawsuit against China for damage from coronavirus could amount to $ 1.2 trillion.”

Recall that as of April 11, the total number of people infected with coronavirus in the world reached 1,698,626 people. The largest number of patients in the United States is 501,560.

Also, since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic in New York State, the number of seriously ill people in intensive care has decreased for the first time.
