The US has expressed its readiness to return to Vienna for negotiations on the nuclear deal

The State Department also calls on Iran to do this.

The United States is ready to return to Vienna for negotiations to restore the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the Iranian Nuclear Program and calls on the Islamic Republic to do the same. This was stated on Thursday at a regular briefing by the head of the press service of the State Department, Ned Price.

“Our message to [the new] President [of Iran, Ebrahim] Raisi is the same as the message to his predecessors. It is very simple: The United States will protect and promote the interests of its national security and [the interests of] our partners. We hope that Iran will now take advantage of the opportunity to make diplomatic decisions <…> For our part, we have made it clear that we are ready to return to Vienna to resume negotiations <…> We call on Iran to return to negotiations soon,” the foreign ministry representative said.
