The Ministry of Justice also reported on the sale of confiscated Iranian oil.
The United States reported that it had confiscated a large shipment of missiles that the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had sent to Yemen.
The US Department of Justice announced the move on October 29, saying the missiles were confiscated after two US warships intercepted two flagless vessels during routine security operations in November 2019 and February 2020 in the Arabian sea.
“Both vessels carried large stockpiles of weapons, including 171 guided anti-tank missiles, eight surface-to-air missiles, and various other missile components,” the Ministry said in a statement. “Subsequent investigation showed that the cargo was Iranian-made.”
On October 29, the Justice Department also announced the sale of 1.1 million barrels of previously seized Iranian oil sent to Venezuela.
According to the Agency, the sale proceeds will go to a special Fund to help victims of terrorism, supported at the state level.
