The United States has allocated $15.5 million in medical and humanitarian aid to Ukraine since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

The press service of the State Department reported this.

The US Foreign Ministry said in a statement that these funds are intended to “improve the ability of local health institutions to help patients and combat the further spread of COVID-19,” as well as to mitigate the socio-economic consequences, “including for conflict-affected residents in Eastern Ukraine.”
