The US has again announced its intention to impose sanctions against the “Nord stream — 2”

The US intends to impose sanctions on the project of construction of the Nord stream — 2 gas pipeline for the delivery of Russian gas to the EU. This was stated on Tuesday by American energy Minister Rick Perry, speaking in Kiev, where he arrived to participate in the inauguration of Vladimir Zelensky, reports Bloomberg.

The US is categorically against the new gas pipeline from Russia to Europe. Washington has repeatedly threatened to impose sanctions on the project and its European participants. American authorities have previously stated that they are going to supply Europe with liquefied gas.

Earlier, the American magazine Foreign Policy reported on the bill being developed by two American senators, according to which it is proposed to impose sanctions against a number of European individuals and companies related to the construction of “Nord stream — 2”.
