The US has accused Iran of attacks on Saudi Arabia

Iran is involved in more than a hundred attacks on Saudi Arabia. US Secretary of state Mike Pompeo wrote on Twitter.

The politician said Tehran has launched an “unprecedented attack on world energy supplies” while President Hassan Rouhani and Foreign Minister Javad Zarif pretend to be engaged in diplomacy.

Pompeo called on the world community to condemn the aggression by Iran and do everything to bring the country to justice. He promised that the US would assist the global energy market after the drone attack on Saudi Arabia’s oil facilities.

On the morning of September 14, there was a fire on the territory of the national oil company of Saudi Arabia Saudi Aramco. Authorities said the fire was the result of an attack by drones.

As the Associated Press notes, earlier oil facilities of the country became targets of drones of Shiite movement “Ansar Allah.” In addition, it is known that in 2006 militants “al-Qaeda” tried to arrange an explosion on Saudi Aramco.

Saudi Aramco considers its refinery one of the largest in the world. It is able to process up to seven million barrels per day. In 2018, Moody’s Investors Service experts called the company the most profitable in the world — its net profit amounted to $111.1 billion.
