The US confirmed the possibility of an oil Alliance with Saudi Arabia

US energy Secretary Dan Brouillette confirmed that Washington is considering creating an Alliance with Saudi Arabia to regulate oil prices.

According to him, many ideas are being discussed in the “political space.” The proposal to create an Alliance with Saudi Arabia is one of them. However, Brouillette could not say whether the proposal would be formally submitted for consideration.

Brouillette explained that the idea was discussed during interagency discussions, but the US has not yet “made any decision on this,” reports Bloomberg.

Recall that the Wall Street Journal reported that the US Department of energy is persuading the administration of President Donald Trump to form an Alliance with Saudi Arabia in order to regulate world oil prices.
