The US confirmed its support for the “Three Seas Initiative”

The host country was the government of Estonia.

The goal of the “Three Seas Initiative” is to promote economic prosperity by developing cooperation between countries located on the shores of the Baltic, Adriatic and Black seas.

During the meeting, Stephen Biegun confirmed the support of the United States for the efforts of the twelve participating States of the “Three Seas Initiative.” He specified, in particular, that this refers to efforts aimed at strengthening the energy, transport, technological and digital infrastructure.

The US Deputy Secretary of state noted that a safe, prosperous and viable three seas region not only connects the countries of Central and Eastern Europe with the rest of the European Union but also plays a crucial role in their relations with the US.

The Deputy Foreign Minister of the United States stressed that the United States intends to invest up to a billion dollars in the projects of the “Three Seas Initiative.”
