The US commented on the situation in Israel

The United States is concerned about the violence in Israel, US presidential spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters.

“We are concerned about the situation, including the violent confrontation that we have seen in recent days,” Psaki said.

She recalled that at the weekend, the US president’s National security adviser, Jake Sullivan, and his Israeli counterpart, Meir Ben-Shabbat, spoke on this topic.

Psaki also condemned the rocket attacks on Israel.

Earlier on Monday, the Israeli army decided to strengthen its presence on the border with the Gaza Strip, as rocket attacks from the enclave on Israeli territory recently resumed. In addition, clashes have continued for several days in East Jerusalem. According to the Red Crescent in Jerusalem, 80 people were injured in clashes between Palestinians and Israeli police on Sunday night, and about 300 Palestinians were injured in recent days. On Monday morning, the unrest resumed, at the moment the number of Palestinians injured in the clashes in Jerusalem on Monday rose to 331.
