The US announces new sanctions against “Nord stream-2”

The United States will continue to impose sanctions against Russian companies building the “Nord stream- 2” pipeline, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said on Sunday.

On CNN, Sullivan was asked why the United States suspended sanctions against the European company Nord Stream 2 AG, which is building a gas pipeline.

“The question is whether we will directly pursue, using the sanctions powers, our European partners, allies, and friends. President (US) Joe Biden said: I am not ready to do this, but I am ready to impose sanctions every 90 days against Russian organizations involved in the construction of the “Nord stream-2.” He has done it and will continue to do it,” Sullivan said.
